I really wanted to take the time to share a plan with all of you that Team 1HD and Driver Jason Tostenson will be doing during the 2011 racing season. As some may already know, but many do not. Car Owners, Steve and Candi Staerk's son Hunter who will be 5 on September 27th, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth.
What we are really trying to do is raise awareness about Cystic Fibrosis and its effects. We plan on designing several hundred Team 1HD Racing for a Cure Cystic Fibrosis decals. By the way they will look awesome!
What we are going to do is have these decals on hand at every race during the 2011 racing season. All we are asking for is a free will money donation of any amount to recieve a decal. Half of every donation will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Iowa Chapter in Des Moines,Ia. www.cff.org/Chapters/iowa/
This is a Foundation dedicated to the fight for survival of children and adults throughout the Country, and to help them lead a normal life. The other half of each donation will go to Hunter's monthly medical bills. Every month Hunter requires special drugs and treatments for his disease that are expensive. We know the racing community is a very giving and compassionate one. And starting in 2011 the 1HD sprint car is not only racing to beat the competition on the track, it will also be racing to beat a life shortening disease that affects Thousands and Thousands of families across this country.
